The Stables in Milton Keynes has named DAVID MEADOWCROFT as its new Chair.

He takes over at the live music venue from JIM RICE who has served as Chair for the past nine years.

A Global Alliance Director for American commercial real estate services and investment firm CBRE, Meadowcroft was previously Operations Director at Carillion, Service Delivery Director at Barclays Bank and Supply Chain and Logistics Director at Courtaulds.

Recently Meadowcroft stepped down from the board of governors at Milton Keynes College after nine years, seven of those as Chair.

ANN LIMB, Chair of The Stables' Search Committee said: “We are delighted to be able to appoint someone of David’s calibre and experience to take over from Jim as Chair of The Stables. We look forward to welcoming him to the role in the next few months.”

Meadowcroft added: “Live music has shaped some of my most powerful memories. Witnessing the energy and inspiration that the arts can spark in people is truly impactful.

"I'm excited to collaborate with the trustees and executive team to ensure The Stables builds on its reputation as one of the UK’s most successful independent music venues.”
