The Arts Council’s new head office will be located in a newly refurbished development opposite the British Museum.

Red brick old building on Great Peter Street
Arts Council England at Great Peter Street

Arts Council England (ACE) is at the final stages of a property deal that will see the organisation’s Head Office move from Great Peter Street - its home since 1990 - to new offices at 21 Bloomsbury Street  in London. The building provides brand new open plan offices and other work spaces behind a retained brick façade and is located in the heart of Bloomsbury, opposite the British Museum. As part of an ongoing cost-cutting exercise at ACE, its Great Peter Street headquarters, which costs £1.2m a year for just over 31,000ft², have also become home to its London office. During the recent ACE organisational review, savings in administration were planned through reduced staff and property costs. ACE was unwilling to comment on the floor space or rental cost of its new Bloomsbury home, citing ongoing negotiations for some aspects of the move.
