Chancellor backs plans for East London Cultural Quarter

George Osborne has committeed £141m to the development of the former Olympic site, which will be home to a new Sadler’s Wells dance theatre, a V&A museum and exhibition space and two  university campuses dedicated to arts, design and engineering.
