Chancellor announces 5% cut for Arts Council England and museums in Spending Review

The DCMS was cut marginally less than expected in yesterday’s Spending Review, 7% compared to a previously suggested 8%. The Arts Council and museums budget will receive the expected 5% cut in 2015/16.
