Lake District Music

THE ROLE
This is a key role at the centre of Lake District Music, working directly with the Operations Director to plan and implement a wide range of creative campaigns to drive ticket sales, develop audiences, support young musicians and raise brand awareness. You will take the lead in all our print and digital strategies, harnessing new digital infrastructure to effectively reach our growing audience base. In this new role created to support our growth, you will also support our work to connect with individual donors.

Founded in 1985, Lake District Music has an incredible legacy presenting world-class classical music across Cumbria and has helped launch the careers of some of the most exciting young talents of their generation, including the likes of Nicola Benedetti, Jennifer Pike, Nikolai Znaider, Steven Osborne, the Heath Quartet, Guy Johnston and more.

With a new spring concert series and our 40th anniversary festival in 2025, this is an exciting time to be a part of the organisation and a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference within a small supportive team.

THE CANDIDATE
If you:

  • love the great outdoors (the local Lake District scenery is amazing)
  • are a self-starter; someone who is multiskilled from social media and campaign management
  • have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of current marketing trends
  • love working with collaborators and are a welcoming and approachable point of contact for donors and volunteers alike
  • are passionate about classical music and love anything from jazz to baroque and everything in between

…then this is the job for you and we would love to hear from you!
