The Senior Producer & Programmer is a new post to ARC. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Creative Director, the role holder will:

  • lead the producing team in supporting artists to create and present brilliant work at ARC that resonates and connects with local communities
  • programme the various spaces ensuring a balanced, sustainable and intriguing programme of different artforms including theatre, dance, spoken word, live music, comedy and cinema
  • manage ARC’s events and activities processes, includes overseeing contracts, advancing, settlements and other arrangements, sourcing and sharing information with other departments as required
  • line produce key productions and projects develop and manage ARC’s networks such as Venues North and North East Exchange
  • work closely with the Artistic Development Manager and Creative Engagement Producer to develop new projects

In addition to running these elements of ARC’s programme, the Senior Producer & Programmer is also responsible for providing advice and guidance to artists approaching ARC; managing ARC’s relationships with other venues, including touring ARC productions, and leading on our relationship with The Northern School of Art. The Senior Producer & Programmer is a member of ARC’s management team.
