Paraorchestra

Paraorchestra bring extraordinary live music experiences to audiences in concert halls and public spaces around the world, blending artforms and technology with world-class musicianship.

Under the Artistic Direction of award-winning conductor Charles Hazlewood, our pioneering ensemble seeks to disrupt and reinvent the orchestra, bringing together professional disabled and non-disabled musicians and artists across artforms and genres, appealing to the widest audience, whilst radically shifting outdated perceptions of both orchestral music and disability.

We are looking for a confident, experienced, and versatile arts marketer to join our growing Communications team. Working across all areas of the organisation you will be playing a key role in the marketing and storytelling of all Paraorchestra projects, tours, and artist development activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about live music / performance, and who enjoys a varied workload with real opportunity for creativity.

It suits a creative thinker who will be responsible for maximising opportunities to tell Paraorchestra’s unique stories through a variety of mediums. You should be audience-focussed, curating and creating engaging content that incites new and existing audiences, and be comfortable creating and managing project briefs that consider the wider project / organisational objectives.

You will have a passion for and understanding of social media and its power for storytelling and brand engagement, and the ability to lead confidently on all Paraorchestra channels.

Based predominantly in our office in Bristol, you can also expect to be joining the team on tours and live performances across the UK, providing on the ground support on filming, photography, and content creation.

For how to apply, a job description, summary of the terms and conditions, and information on how to get support with your application, or how to propose an alternative working arrangement, please download the Job Pack: https://paraorchestra.com/were-recruiting-for-two-new-marketing-roles/

Our Job Packs are available in Word and PDF, standard and large print. If you require the Job Packs in any other format please get in touch.

We accept written, audio, or video applications and can provide support with your application should you need it.

We can also offer an informal discussion with you before applying if you would like to get to know a little more about our culture and what it’s like to work for Paraorchestra.

Access Support and Inclusivity

We recognise that the arts have not been a go-to employer for anyone who identifies as disabled. We want to act positively and change this and would like to hear particularly from those that identify as d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent under the Social Model of Disability or who have faced barriers to their career progressing due to access needs not being met. If you are d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent and you meet the essential criteria for the role, we will guarantee you an interview.

For questions or support on any of the above, please email applications@paraorchestra.com

We look forward to hearing from you!

*Our preference is for you to be based in Bristol or the surrounding areas and have an office presence at least two days per week in our central Bristol office. The role will involve some national travel.
