The new Permanent Secretary at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport is SUE OWEN, who joins from the Department for Work and Pensions. She will start the post at the beginning of October.

NICKY WEBB is to leave Artichoke in December, to develop her own work and contribute more to her family life. HELEN MARRIAGE will continue as sole Director of the company they set up together in 2005.
Turner Prize nominee JANE WILSON has been named as Professor of Art at the University of Wolverhampton.
The new Chairman of the Advisory Committee on the Government Art Collection will be DAVID VEREY, who will hold the post until September 2018. He succeeds JULIA SOMERVILLE, who served in the role for ten years.
The Finnish Institute’s new Art and Cultural Programme Manager will be JOHANNA VAKKARI, who will join the organisation in January 2014. She leaves the Fine Arts Academy of Finland where she is Senior Coordinator.
RICHARD CROXFORD is stepping down from his role as Artistic Director of the Lyric Theatre in Belfast after five years in post.
