RICHARD SHAW is joining the BFI as Director of Marketing, Communications and Audiences. He leaves Lion Television, where he has been Executive Producer and Head of Development since 2002. Prior to that he worked in marketing and public engagement for arts organisations including the Royal Opera House, the National Theatre and English National Ballet.
After 10 years running Poet in the City, GRAHAM HENDERSON is leaving to become the Chief Executive of the Rimbaud & Verlaine Foundation. He will continue his association with Poet in the City as a Board member. ISOBEL COLCHESTER will be acting as Chief Executive until a permanent appointment is made.
Canterbury Christchurch University has appointed SALLY ABBOTT as Director, Arts and Culture, to lead the University’s arts and culture programmes nationally and internationally. She was previously Director of Arts Council England, South East.
Theatre and television actor SARA LLOYD has been appointed as the new Associate Director of Theatr Genedlaethol.
STEVE WINTER is leaving Old Vic New Voices after nine years to pursue a freelance career. ALEXANDER FERRIS, head of OVNV’s community and education work, will take over from him.
LES MILLER is leaving his post as General Manager of Arts, Culture and Entertainment at the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. He has been there for six years.
Curator JUHA VAN T ZELFDE is the new Artistic Director for the digital culture agency Lighthouse.
REBECCA WILSON has been appointed as Chief Curator and Director of Artist Development for the online art gallery Saatchi Art. She was previously Director at the Saatchi Gallery in London for seven years, prior to which she was Editor of ArtReview.
