Shakespeare's Globe

Join this innovative, collaborative, and creative team, working closely across all departments at Shakespeare’s Globe. As Social Media Officer your work will be varied, covering theatre productions on both our stages and on tour, education activities for all ages and stages, Guided Tours, a thriving shop, and Swan at the Globe (our onsite bar and restaurant).

The role: 

Working alongside the Social Media Manager and the wider Communications & PR team, the Social Media Officer will contribute to the development of all organic creative content across the Globe’s platforms, from idea to execution. They will play a key role in day-to-day administrative tasks, as well as curating new and exciting content to publicize our shows to our combined audience of over one million.

The skills:

The successful candidate will have prior experience in social media and experience using social scheduling tools, such as Sprout Social or AirTable. They will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a good awareness of digital trends.

The Team:

We are creative and values-driven, foregrounding care for our companies, staff, and all who interact with our work at the Globe. This role joins a busy Communications & PR department, including a Press Manager, Social Media Manager, Press Officer, and Marketing & Press Assistant. The Audiences department includes the Communications & PR, Marketing, Digital & Data, Ticketing & Sales, Retail, and Visitor & Audience Operations teams. This role will support the Social Media Manager across the development of social media content and community management. This role will also support the wider Audiences team in email marketing, multimedia content creation, crisis comms and website management.
