OCL Online Programme
Transform your leadership style, develop your skillset & become part of an international network in our immersive weeklong programme.
Oxford Cultural Leaders has been designed and delivered since 2015 by Oxford University’s Gardens, Libraries & Museums in partnership with the Saïd Business School. Oxford Cultural Leaders (OCL) is an intensive and immersive weeklong programme designed for cultural sector professionals. The programme experience is challenging and provocative, as well as developmental and supportive. It disrupts how participants think, working on conceptual, contextual, organisational and personal levels. The programme brings together expertise from across the cultural and business sectors and is delivered through lectures, keynote speeches and facilitated workshops that re-examine participants’ approaches to leadership in relation to their institutional visions.
Key Programme Highlights
- Interactive workshops and group breakouts: Work with peers from around the world in engaging, hands-on sessions designed to challenge your thinking and expand your leadership toolkit.
- Keynote speeches and panel discussions: Gain insight from sector experts on cultural entrepreneurship, leadership and much more.

Online Programme Testimonials:
‘The course changed the way I think. It gave me the space to step back and change some behaviours that were not helpful to me. It’s not just about listening to inspirational speakers, reading interesting academic articles and practising theory; it’s so much more! The whole process changes you for the better. And on top of all of that, you get an amazing network of people who you’ve been on a journey with who are all brilliant.’
Victoria Robinson, Chief Executive Officer, The Met, UK
‘Having done other online courses, I was very impressed with the balance of keynotes, workshops and breakout groups within OCL – I was utterly engaged at every stage, and it catered to the diversity of learning styles and communication preferences in the group. The thinking/coaching pairs worked well for me – teaching me (one of many) new methodologies and ways to address leadership dilemmas.’
Katie Russell, National Director/CEO, Australian Museums and Galleries Association, Australia
