Reflect. Reimagine. Redefine. A Symposium.
Reflect. Reimagine. Redefine. will take place in two parts: during the daytime we will run a programme of peer-to-peer roundtables and networking; in the evening, we’ll let our hair down for a big 10 year celebration!
Day Programme – Imagining the Next 10 years:
Presented by 101 in partnership with OutdoorArtsUK and Without Walls.
A global pandemic, a cost of living crisis, Brexit and now a change of government. It feels like high time for the Outdoor Arts sector to take stock and look to the future.
How can we build on the successes of the last decade whilst coming to terms with the challenges we face? How can outdoor arts remain inspiring and relevant in an ever- changing world? What could a positive version of the future look like for our sector and what do we need to put in place to make that a reality?
This is a chance for those of us who want to shape the vision for the next decade of outdoor arts to feed into that thinking. We want to create a collective vision that can represent our hopes and desires. Artist or producer, festival or funder – come join us and be part of the journey.
This part of the event will include lunch, round table discussions, networking, inspirational visions and a chance to contribute to a sector-wide vision of how arts in public space can grow and thrive over the next decade.
Evening Celebration – A Dose of Double Digit Decadence
101 lets its hair down with an evening of art, music, feasting and celebration marking its first ten years and toasting the next decade with its friends, family and funders.
Appropriately reflecting 101’s odyssey and the adventures to come, amazing nine-piece brass band Perhaps Contraption will be kicking off the evening with a very special promenade performance of The Journey – a fusion of musical finesse and flamboyant visual vernacular.
We’ll be treated to a feast of culinary delights by 101’s trusty caterer Treble Steff, followed by some of 101’s oldest and dearest friends creating a cabaret of curiosities and sublime surprises.
To round the evening off, some of Oxford’s top muso’s will recreate the jazz-reggae vibes of the legendary guitarist Ernest Ranglin and there’ll be dancing to top tunes from DJ Dubious.
