Head of Development

Established in 2019, The Benedetti Foundation is a transformative music education charity dedicated to enabling access to music participation and appreciation for all. Led by international violinist Nicola Benedetti CBE and bringing together a tutor team of exceptional educators and performers from across the globe, the charity and its trustees deliver inspirational experiences through mass music events and demonstrate what music education at its best can look and feel like.

Since its launch, through in-person and virtual programmes, The Benedetti Foundation has worked with over 100,000 participants of all ages from 137 countries, instrumentalists, hundreds of schools, produced over 1,100 pre-recorded and live lessons and received over 6.6 million video content views. With a successful Ambassador Programme and ongoing online activities, the Foundation unites those who believe music is integral to life’s education.

In our fifth anniversary year, we are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic fundraiser to join our team as our new Head of Development. The successful candidate will be a committed and accomplished development professional with a demonstrable strong track record. The post holder will have an interest in music education and its power to inspire and engage people of all ages and musical abilities, from across the UK and further afield.

The Head of Development will build on the strong foundations the development team have already laid down, with great success from Trusts and Foundations so far and having recently secured regular statutory funding from Creative Scotland for the first time. The role will also require the post holder to take the lead in extending and delivering our fundraising strategy, as well as maintaining and building upon our existing relationships with key individuals, Trusts and Foundations and more.
