Dr Katy Pilcher
Senior lecturer in Sociology at Aston University
Dr Katy Pilcher is a senior lecturer in Sociology at Aston University. Her research focuses upon questions of power and inequalities in relation to: gender and sexualities; ageing; work and employment relations; leisure spaces; digital exclusion; creative community activism.
Pilcher recently worked with Fun Palaces on a project funded through the Collaborate Fund within the Centre for Cultural Value, entitled Creative Voices, Activist Voices: Sensory Stories of Creative Communities, producing an exhibition, podcast and an Activist Toolkit.
