
Founding director at National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange (NCACE)
Evelyn is co-founder and director of TCCE (2011) and NCACE (2020). She co-developed the bid to develop Boosting Resilience, on which she is co-investigator. She joined LCACE, TCCE’s first iteration, in 2005, working as cultural development manager at QMUL, UoL and then as senior manager. Together with colleagues at QMUL, she developed the AHRC-funded Creativeworks London Knowledge Exchange hub.
Evelyn specialises in developing platforms and frameworks in which to bring together researchers from diverse disciplines with cultural/creative sector practitioners around areas of common concern and purpose. Her work often takes the form of events and dialogue-based activities and she has curated hundreds of events and workshops, as well as festivals and learning initiatives.
Previous posts include: director of Lighthouse, Brighton; director, Metapod; and head of exhibitions and cultural events, Light House Media Centre in Wolverhampton. Evelyn has served in several advisory capacities in arts and academic contexts. She is currently an advisor to the Centre for Creativity and Professional Practice at Cass Business School and is an Honorary Research Associate at Royal Holloway, University of London. She holds an MA in Geosociology from Goldsmiths and also enjoys writing on and for the arts, albeit somewhat sporadically.
