Maureen Beattie
Actress
Maureen graduated from what is now The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 1974 with the Gold Medal for Acting and has been working as an actress and director ever since. In 2014 she joined Equity’s Council and in 2018 became the second ever female President of the Union, following in the footsteps of Beatrix Lehmann in 1946. She was awarded an OBE in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to the entertainment industry.
