Inclusive theatre company Blue Apple, based in Winchester, has appointed ADAM DODD and LIBBY STOCKEL to its board of trustees.

For the last four years, Dodd has been the Chief Executive of Minstead Trust, a charity that works with adults with learning disabilities, joining in 2016 originally as Director of Finance and Central Services. Previously, he worked as Chief Operations Officer and Finance Director for a private group of companies, including Open Gallery, The Institute of Art and Ideas and TVF Media.

Stockel has spent 22 years as a civil servant working across scientific, policy and project delivery roles with several government departments. She joins the board of the disabled-led company after a long involvement in amateur theatre as a producer, director and manager.

RICHARD CONLON, Artistic Director, said the appointments would bring “strategic, financial and management expertise" to the Winchester organisation.

Dodd commented: "In my day job, I run an organisation that challenges society to see the abilities of each person, not just their disability. It's a privilege to have the chance to offer my experience of growing and strengthening organisations to help secure a bright future for this leading learning disability arts charity."

Stockel said: “I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with and learn from Blue Apple members, volunteers, staff and fellow board members and bring together my passion for performing arts and inclusion to support Blue Apple as a trustee.”
