Burgess to lead Aberdeen Performing Arts

SHARON BURGESS will become Chief Executive of Aberdeen Performing Arts in June. 

She was most recently Chief Executive of Artrage, a non-profit cultural organisation in Perth, Australia.

Before moving to Australia, Burgess was based in Edinburgh and held positions including Managing Director of Assembly, producer at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Business Development Manager at The Gilded Balloon. She also sat on the board of the Edinburgh Fringe Society. 

Alongside this, Burgess is an experienced independent producer and promoter, with experience working with major promoters and events.

“I look forward to working with the team to build on the legacy of Aberdeen Performing Arts and continue to create unforgettable experiences, while fostering a culture of sustainability, resilience, and inclusivity,” Burgess said.

“I am eagerly looking forward to immersing myself in everything this beautiful region has to offer and making it my home”.
