Two new trustees at Chichester Festival Theatre (CFT), JEAN VIANNEY CORDEIRO and HUGH SUMMERS, are set to co-chair the theatre's second Youth Advisory Board.

The Youth Advisory Board will meet five times a year to engage with CFT's Board of Trustees to identify new ways the theatre can become a better and more diverse organisation for young people.

Ten young people aged 16-25 have been selected to form the board, each serving an initial one year term. They are members of Chichester Festival Youth Theatre and the theatre's Prologue scheme, which helps people and students in the local area at the beginning of their careers.

Cordeiro is currently Head of Corporate Development at Pets at Home and Chair of the Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee at Stonewall and Summers, who was a member of the inaugural Youth Advisory Board, works for production company Wessex Grove as a Production Coordinator.

Cordeiro and Summers commented: “CFT’s community work is exemplary and we look forward to continuing the fantastic work of outgoing Trustees Holly Mirams and Georgina Liley as we take over their role as Co-Chairs of the Youth Advisory Board.”
