ANGHARAD WYNNE will be the Commissioner for a review of Arts Council of Wales' support for traditional music.

The review is one of several commitments made as part of ACW's Investment Review into its funding of arts organisations from 2024/25.

Wynne has over 20 years of experience in the music sector as a project manager and marketing consultant, including working with WOMEX, English Folk Expo, Celtic Connections/Showcase Scotland, Universal Decca, and Real World Records.

As a freelancer, she managed the Wales Symposium for the UNESCO Year of Indigenous Languages, ran the spin-off international Indigenous music collaboration project Mamiaith, and collaborated with US music professionals to identify opportunities for musicians from Wales.

In her role as Commissioner of the review, she will chair the steering panel that oversees the delivery of the review and its recommendations to the Council.

ACW said Wynne is “looking forward to engaging with a broad musical community to hear their views, experiences and ideas”.
