Freedom Studios names new Creative Lead

GRAEME THOMPSON has been announced as Freedom Studios' new Creative Lead. 

Thompson will join the Bradford-based theatre company from Newcastle’s Live Theatre, where he was Executive Producer. 

Freedom Studios has been awarded Transition Programme funding from Arts Council England (ACE), following the announcement it will be leaving ACE's National Portfolio from April.

“It’s a huge privilege to be joining Freedom Studios as Creative Lead and to build upon the success the company has had to date,” Thompson said.  

“We certainly live in challenging times, but with that does come opportunity and I am excited to get to work with the company and artist community of Bradford to take the next steps in Freedom Studios' journey.” 

ANJ HANDA, Chair of the Board, said Thompson has a track record of “developing, managing and delivering similar programmes to that of Freedom Studios”.

“His experience of developing a place-based organisation with regional focus and strong partnerships, while still maintaining a national and international framework, will be invaluable.”
