Governance restructure at Philharmonia Orchestra

The merger of Philharmonia Ltd and the Philharmonia Trust has created a single unified charity to govern the Philharmonia Orchestra, which has been owned by its player members since 1964. LORD KING OF LOTHBURY will this summer become Chair of the charity’s Board of Trustees, and newly announced Chief Executive ALEXANDER VAN INGEN will report to the board. JULIA ZILBERMAN will chair the new Development Board, working with the Philharmonia’s development team to focus on strategic fundraising.
