Hickmore joins Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment

HARRY HICKMORE is the new Development Director of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE). 

The OAE is a British period instrument orchestra based at Acland Burghley School. It is a Resident Orchestra of the Southbank Centre in London, Associate Orchestra at Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Artistic Associate of Kings Place. 

Taking up post in April, Hickmore joins OAE from Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration, where he led a £12m campaign to establish a permanent base for the organisation. 

Previously, he was Head of Development and Communications at Wilton’s Music Hall, and a fundraiser at English National Opera. 

Hickmore is also a board member of vocal ensemble The Marian Consort, Fellow of the RSA and a Senior Fellow with Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy.
