The Leche Trust has announced GARETH CLAYTON as its new grants director.

He takes over at the charity from ROSEMARY EWLES, who has retired from the position after 10 years.

The trust supports the performing arts, heritage conservation and training for young professionals, donating more than £180,000 to 55 projects in 2023/24.

Clayton has 15 years of experience within the arts, culture and heritage sector, working for various funders, including most recently as grants manager for both the John Ellerman Foundation and The Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art.

Writing on LinkedIn, Clayton said: “I am thrilled to be starting work for a funder that is focused on supporting performing arts and heritage conservation – areas of work that I am personally and professionally passionate about.”
