London Children’s Ballet names new patron

GARY AVIS has become a patron of London Children’s Ballet.

Avis, principal character artist and senior répétiteur of The Royal Ballet, said he is “excited and honoured to be asked to be a patron”.

He joins fellow patrons from The Royal Ballet LAUREN CUTHBERTSON, STEVEN MCRAE and ANNA ROSE O’SULLIVAN.

Avis added: “In a world where artistic culture and the magic of dance theatre are needed more than ever, I am energised, inspired and committed to help continue the legacy of LCB’s great work and its ongoing success.”

RUTH BRILL, artistic director of productions at LCB, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gary Avis to our stellar list of LCB patrons.

“His passion, drive and dedication to the arts is an inspiration to us all.

“He is a master of theatre and a lynchpin of The Royal Ballet. We look forward to working with him and learning from him.”
