Lord SYED KAMALL is leaving DCMS after just five weeks in post.

He became a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at DCMS in September and was made Minister for Civil Society, overseeing the civil society and young persons' brief.

Conservative MP PAUL SCULLY, a former local government minister, has replaced him as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State.

Conservative Peer Lord STEPHEN PARKINSON and Conservative MP STUART ANDREW have been re-appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State.

Lord Parkinson formally served as DCMS Minister for Arts from September 2021 to September 2022. DCMS is yet to confirm his new brief but Andrew, who first joined the department last month, has been confirmed as Minister for Sport, Tourism and Civil Society.
