Museums Association (MA) has announced RACHEL ROGERS as its new Vice President for a three-year term.

She succeeds SIMON BROWN, who stepped down from the board in March this year.

Rogers has been the Museums and Arts Manager for MonLife Heritage Museums since 2017, having worked in various culture roles for Monmouthshire County Council since 2001. She joined the MA board in 2021, and previously sat on the board of the Collections Trust.

She is a longstanding committee member of the Federation of Museums and Galleries of Wales, previously holding the roles of President and Secretary and she is currently lead for the Welsh Museums Festival.

Rogers said: “I am delighted to have been appointed Vice President, and a huge thank you to my colleagues on the board for their support.

"The Museums Association has been such a big part of my professional life, having joined in the early days of my museum career, and I am honoured to be able to contribute further to the fantastic work it does within the sector and beyond.”
