Nobel laureate reappointed as British Library trustee
Secretary of State LISA NANDY has reappointed VENKI RAMAKRISHNAN as a trustee of the British Library for a four-year term from 15 June 2024 to 14 June 2028.
A scientist at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, Ramakrishnan is best known for his work on the structure and function of ribosomes, for which he shared the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
He is the author of two books and was President of the Royal Society from 2015 to 2020.
