The Ivors Academy has announced its new board, with pop artists PALOMA FAITH and TINIE TEMPAH, and film music composer DAVID ARNOLD among those elected.

The 13-strong board is voted for by the academy’s Senate, which is made up of 40 songwriters and composers chosen by Ivors Academy members.

The other 10 new board members are: IAIN ARCHER, FIONA BEVAN, INES DUNN, LIZZIE ESAU, TOM GRAY, EVE HORNE, DRU MASTERS, ORPHY ROBINSON, MIKA SELLENS, and AYANNA WITTER-JOHNSON.

ROBERTO NORI, CEO of The Ivors Academy, said he was “thrilled to welcome” the new board members.

He added: “There’s never been a more urgent time to address critical issues facing songwriters and composers, and the expertise of our board will be invaluable to help address them.

“I want to thank all members of the Senate who participated in this process, demonstrating the strength and commitment of our community to create meaningful change.

“We will continue to protect the rights of songwriters and composers, empower them to thrive, and champion their craft and creativity.”
