ANGELA STONE will be Pocklington Arts Centre’s (PAC) new Artistic Director, commencing in October.

Stone was selected by Pocklington Town Council, succeeding JANET FARMER, who left the role in April.

PAC has established a new team to work closely alongside Stone, with DAVID PARKER as Venue Manager and ISOBEL BIELBLY as Marketing and Administration Officer.

With a professional background in arts management, Pocklington’s Town Mayor STEVE MCCANN said Stone has a clear passion and commitment to the arts.

"We are thrilled to welcome her to the team at such an exciting time of growth and potential for the arts centre and the wider town and surrounding villages," he added.

Stone said community, creativity and collaboration are what will drive the foundations for PAC's continued growth.

"I believe it is our collective responsibility, working collaboratively with our partners at Pocklington Town Council, Arts Council England and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to create adaptive space for inclusive shared experience," she added.

"We will anticipate and respond to the changing demands of our evolving audience and our environmental impact on the spaces we manage."
