Refresh of Creative Industries Council

The Creative Industries Council (CIC) has announced a refresh of its membership board.

Acting as a joint forum between the creative industries and government, the CIC focuses on improving barriers to growth in the sector by addressing current challenges and opportunities.

This year, the council will be co-chaired by newly-appointed Culture Secretary LUCY FRAZER, Chair and Pro-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art SIR PETER BAZALGETTE and Edinburgh International Festival's Executive Director FRANCESA HEGYI.

The CIC's membership now consists of over 30 leaders from across policymaking and the creative and digital industries, including TV, music, fashion, arts and culture, and publishing. 

They include DCMS Minister of State JULIA LOPEZ, Arts Council England Chief Executive DARREN HENLEY, Creative Scotland CEO IAIN MUNRO, Arts Council Northern Ireland CEO ROISÍN MCDONOUGH, Channel 4 CEO ALEX MAHON, Founder and CEO of Julie's Bicycle ALISON TICKELL and Executive Chair of the Arts and Humanities Research Council Professor CHRISTOPHER SMITH
