Sainsbury Centre announces new trustees
The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich has appointed eight new board members, including senior figures from the worlds of film production, tech and the art market.
The new trustees include ZOE BIRCHALL, who has more than 30 years of experience in TV, film and animation, including work with BSkyB, the BBC and Aardman Animations and chief marketing officer for auctioneers Bonhams MARC SANDS.
Also joining the board are brand consultant NATASHA DICKINSON; co-founder and director emeritus of the LGBTQ+ museum, Queer Britain JOSEPH GALLIANO-DOIG; associate director at art world recruitment consultancy SML ROBYN OROWUJE-FORBES; former chief executive of the Suffolk-based brewers Adnams, Dr ANDY WOOD and former marketing director for Google UK and Ireland JAMES ELIAS.
Sainsbury Centre director JAGO COOPER said he was delighted to have “a remarkable group of enthusiastic new board members”, and that the appointments reflect the museum’s plans in creative agency and media production work.
Cooper added: “Hopefully our new board members will be in a position to help us capitalise on the government’s stated intention of investing in creative capital and also support the centre’s exhibition programme that tackles some of the fundamental questions facing contemporary society today.”
