Scottish Contemporary Arts Network appoints new director

VERONIQUE AA LAPEYRE has been announced as the new director of the Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN).

Lapeyre will join the organisation next month from Craft Scotland, where she is head of communications and digital.

She will be supported by HELEN MOORE, SCAN’s current Interim director, as deputy director.

SCAN’s chair JENNY CROWE said Lapeyre and Moore would form “an energetic and compassionate leadership team that will continue to advocate for and respond to the membership’s priorities”.

Lapeyre served on SCAN’s board between 2017 and 2022, as chair from 2020.

She said she was “delighted” to join as director, commenting: “It is a real honour to build on SCAN’s legacy, working with the team, board and members to drive meaningful change and shape positive futures for Scotland’s artists and visual arts community.”
