ANNA YANG will become Modern Art Oxford’s Chair of Trustees in the new year.

She will succeed DOMINIC LOEHNIS, who is stepping down in February following a five-year tenure.

Yang is a litigation lawyer with experience supporting a range of arts and culture organisations.

She has been a member of Modern Art Oxford’s Council of Management since 2016 and holds numerous other board positions, including trustee of the Contemporary Art Society, member of the European Advisory Board of McGill University and a governor at North Kensington’s St Thomas Federation.

“It is an honour to become chair of an organisation that I care so deeply about, and I look forward to working with the talented team to ensure that Modern Art Oxford continues to grow and flourish as one of the UK’s leading contemporary art spaces,” Yang commented.

Loehnis added: “Anna has been leading the charge on making the gallery even more accessible and enjoyable to those local communities and under her energetic board stewardship, I am sure Modern Art Oxford will go on to even greater achievements”.
