Yorkshire film and creative hub appoints new CEO
Sheffield-based film and creative hub Showroom Work Station has named VICTORIA FIRTH as its new CEO.
Most recently, Firth was a communities and engagement relationship manager for Arts Council England, having previously worked for the funding body between 2022 and 2023.
Formerly, she was CEO of Lawrence Batley theatre in Huddersfield for 12 years and served as interim director of The Dukes in Lancaster, as manager of The Y Theatre in Leicester and held development roles with Xtrax and The Grief Series.
Firth said, “I am delighted to be joining the Showroom Work Station and being part of the future of this iconic building and its extraordinary film and media offer.
“This is an exciting time for screen and digital industries, which contribute so much to the places we live and work and to our economy. I look forward to growing the great programmes and festivals already thriving at the venue for the people of Sheffield and beyond.”
The board at Showroom Work Station added, “We are thrilled to welcome Victoria as our new CEO. Her extensive leadership experience and passion for the arts will be invaluable in shaping the future of Showroom Work Station.
“We look forward to working with her to build on our success and further establish our role as a vital part of Sheffield’s cultural landscape.”
