The founder and Director of independent curatorial consultancy Covalent Creatives, Khan provides advisory services to clients including the Association for Independent Museums, the British Council, the Barbican, the National Centre for Creative Health and Tara Theatre.

Some of her recent projects include R&D for Art Fund’s curatorial diversity programme and curating Outwitting Cancer at the Francis Crick Institute.

She previously managed the curator team at the Science Museum and the interpretation team at the British Library.

Khan has served two terms on the committee for the Arts Council’s Accreditation Scheme and has worked with Clore Leadership to establish the Cultural Governance Alliance as the inaugural producer for the biannual Governance Now conference.

Khan said she was “delighted” to join ACE in the new post as “an independent portfolio worker for over a decade" who has produced "interdisciplinary projects that connect science, art and heritage".

"I feel it’s an ideal time to embrace this new role at ACE. I’m so excited I’ll have a chance to collaborate with such talented and dedicated colleagues who enable England’s art sector to thrive."
