Two new members have been appointed to the Culture, Arts and Leisure Committee in Northern Ireland: DECLAN O’LOAN replaces DOMINIC BRADLEY and also becomes Deputy Chair of the Committee, while DAVID MCCLARTY (pictured) replaces DAVID MCNARRY

JON LINSTRUM is leaving his role as Co-Director of Magnetic Events and his work as a freelance production and safety consultant in the outdoor arts sector, to join Arts Council England, South East.

Opera North has appointed DEREK NETHERTON to be its next Chairman, succeeding
MICHAEL BEVERLEY in August. JOHN MAKINSON, who joined the Board of the National Theatre in 2008, will succeed SIR HAYDEN PHILLIPS as Chairman of the Board in November.

The Theatrical Management Association is relaunching its Druidstone arts marketing training course in September, to be led by new Course Director MATT CARWARDINE-PALMER. Previously Head of Marketing at Wycombe Swan and Bristol Old Vic, he is now a freelancer and consultant.

TIM PIGOTT-SMITH and SUE WYATT have been appointed to the Board of Hampstead Theatre, while GREG RIPLEY-DUGGAN has stood down to become Executive Producer for the theatre.

The V&A at Dundee has announced LESLEY KNOX, Chairman of Alliance Trust plc, as Chair of the Board of Design Dundee Ltd, the newly formed company established to drive the project forward. She has chaired Alliance Trust plc since 2004 and was a Governor of the Museum of London for nine years.

The Met theatre in Bury has appointed SUSAN RUDDOCK as Finance Administrator. She was formerly an office manager for a local recycling company.
