Irish Arts Council turns to fundraising

Ireland’s Arts Council is working with eight Irish arts organisations to raise €10 million in private funding over the next five years. Income from fundraising in Ireland is less than 3 per cent of total income, a much lower ratio than in the UK where arts organisations secure up to a third of their revenue from fundraising. The initiative called RAISE: Building Fundraising Capacity, provides the organisations with one-to-one professional support for two years to plan and implement a tailored fundraising programme.
