BFI awards funding for film and TV skills package
A new skills package designed to support creatives in the West of England will launch in Bristol after receiving funding from the (BFI).
BFI’s National Lottery Places Fund is investing £245,425 to launch the package, known as All Set West, in April.
The package will be delivered by The Bottle Yard Studios, Bristol UNESCO City of Film and Bristol Film Office, which together make up Bristol City Council’s Film Services.
All Set West will work with regional participants from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the film and TV workforce, offering training, information, connections, work opportunities and networks with a goal of helping gain industry employment.
Mayor of the West of England, Dan Norris, said All Set West will support the next generation of creative people.
“Our region produces content that’s watched by over 800 million people around the world each month,” he said.
“We’re rightly renowned for TV and film, and I’m proud to see the National Lottery and BFI are investing in nurturing our talent too.”
