Council backs Leicester art centre expansion

Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre, which has already been awarded £4.2m from Arts Council England, has been backed with £1m from Leicester City Council for an expansion that will create a new digital art gallery, two new cinemas, a bar and an open-air terrace.
