Counterfeit art displayed in royal residence
Tony Tetro has claimed he forged a Monet water lillies painting on loan to Dumfries House, one of Prince Charles' residences. A spokesperson for Dumfries House said the painting and two others – a fake Dali and fake Picasso – are no longer on display: "it is extremely regrettable that the authenticity of these particular few paintings … now appears to be in doubt." Prince Charles was not personally involved in the loan agreement and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
