The Albany Theatre in Coventry has reopened following a £3m redevelopment.

The work carried out included creating a new studio theatre as well as two education spaces and a new bar and café.

The project, which was supported by capital grants from Coventry City Council and the 2021 City of Culture initiative, took two years to complete.

Kevin Shaw, the theatre’s chief executive and artistic director, said the new spaces would “provide a whole new range of arts experiences for our communities”.

“These new facilities will enable us to host a wider variety of events, workshops, and performances, ensuring there is something for everyone,” he added.
