Edinburgh International Festival apologises for diversity failings

Claims that the online programme presented by Edinburgh International Festival this year failed to "reflect the diversity of practice in our community" have provoked an apology from organisers and a pledge to conduct a full review   . Campaigners highlighted the “almost 90 per cent white” line-up of artists, the  predominance of male performers and the absence of disabled performers. The Scottish Government has agreed "they must make improvements in future programming".
