Plymouth specialist arts school at risk of losing funding

A damning Ofsted report has said that Plymouth School of Creative Arts, a free school which opened in 2013 in response to the marginalisation of arts subjects in mainstream education, will have its funding terminated unless it joins a multi-academy trust. The Headteacher has assured parents that the school will make the “necessary improvements” to tackle the problems identified, which include high levels of classroom disruption and persistent absence.
