£15.8m Leeds Playhouse redevelopment under way

A major transformation of the theatre is "taking shape", Artistic Director James Brining said. Leeds City Council has given £5.6m to the project but the theatre must still raise £2.75m to make its £4.35m contribution. The remaining funding comes from Arts Council England.
