Stars criticise weight demands for male actors

Actor Richard Madden, who starred as a Principal Protection Officer in the BBC drama Bodyguard, has criticised entertainment industry requirements for women and men – with male actors often told to lose weight, eat little and work out twice a day for certain roles. His comments were echoed by Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, who said keeping in shape for the camera can “become a drag”.
