Suspected arson damages disused Burnley theatre

Firefighters were dispatched to tackle a blaze at Burnley Empire Theatre, which ranked 14th on this year’s Theatres Trust Theatres at Risk Register and has been disused for 20 years. A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said it was understood the fire had been deliberately started.
