The Theatre Chipping Norton is launching a two-year program of home grown drama. The move to embark on a producing program was prompted by a perceived decline in the availability of high quality small scale touring theatre and the loss of its regular funding from the Arts Council.  John Terry, Artistic Director commented: ‘Rural and smaller theatres have a vital role to play providing arts and entertainment specifically suited for our local audiences. We don’t have to answer to anyone other than those who live around us.’  Their first production will be Terence McNally’s ‘Frankie and Johnny in Clair de la Lune’.
